Each moment given, a precious gift…

Every sunset a beautiful ending.

Thanks for stopping by today, sorry I haven’t been very active recently. Thank you for your kind words, and thank you to everyone who has recently followed, that’s 501 today!

Life just now is about recovery from surgery and beginning the next arduous treatments. Have some photos for some wordless posts, brain rather addled just now! 🙂

Don’t waste the sunsets – each is a perfect gift!

Sunset is the opening music of the night.

Mehmet Murat ildan

… that first sultry sunset was just the taster and now the sky explodes in a blaze of colour, painting the white walls in delightful shades. Sea and sky painted in a palette of pinks, orange, purples and blue. Fading to palest hues before night envelopes them in dark and only a hint of burnt umber remains in the evening sky. Lights twinkle along the shoreline of the island, and lighthouses flash out their warning across the quiet sea…

You can’t rush a sunset but it won’t wait either!

Be more cat!

A sunset never repeats itself.

Each evening is a brand new stage set of light, movement, sound.

Take time to savour every performance –

it’s free…

July fled before I could blink, August opened in sunshine and hope, now comes the rain, watering the thirsty ground. But how I long for summers warmth…

Perfect sunset with midges!

Sunday fades,

washed in golden warmth,

Red sunset

Air sweet with blossom,

traced in pink and red;

Crescent moon

Now comes the moon,

the moth, the star.

caroling each

to bed

“Good night, good night! parting is such sweet sorrow,
That I shall say good night till it be morrow.”
William Shakespeare – Romeo and Juliet

Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn.

 Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 – 1882)

Good night!

Sunset in Tangerine & grey

What colour the sunset? – Hard to tell;

muted grey and tangerine,

mustard yellow; almost green.

Darksome clouds with silver lining ,

 golden streamers intertwining.

What colour the sunset? I cannot tell

bewitched by evening twilight spell.
