Summer held on tenaciously but finally October and Autumn arrive together. Leaves fall in great drifts creating art on the grassy canvas. The last flowers burst into bloom in one final flourish. Sweetpeas, still filling the garden with fragrance, defiantly declaring “summer is not yet over!” First rain for days, watering the winter seedlings, hedgerows filled with fruit, chooks discovering the delight of fresh blackberries.
