Driving back from the city late Saturday night, the stars were shining brightly and it felt like frost. A very different journey from when we drove up a few hours earlier; horizontal rain, standing water and buffeted by gusts of wind. Sunday opened to a bright pink dawn, red clouds and cold. Husband feeling unwell, the fire was lit early to warm the house. Suddenly a deluge! Next, sunshine and showers with rainbows playing over the water, sometimes nearby, wide and deeply hued, reflected in the sea. Others pale and thin, vanishing in an instant. Rather than try and catch them in the camera lens I chose to watch from the comfort of the sofa. Awed by their grace and beauty, reminded of the goodness of a Promise that lasts…..
